That's definitely one of the top 5 things I can't stand that customers ask. Especially because my store is its own, SMALL building. Rather than explaining to them that they're shipping every morning to us, sometimes I just wanna yell at them. Like, "You see how far our tiny-ass backroom extends? Now tell me how the hell would we manage to bake anything here?"

- I dont work in a SB I work in a coffee shop in a bookstore. - Ive responded with " Actually I just baked it around 3:30 this morning (looking around) ...the oven is under this counter...(because we obviously dont have a backroom).." That usually gets either a laugh from the cool folks, who recognize my sarcasm, or a dirty look from the snooty, far more serious folks, who then, orders it anyway..
