I lived a block down the street from this Starbucks for several years. I spent lots of time there, more than I have at any other Starbucks before or since. During a period of unemployment, it was resume central for me. I've since moved away, but have received several calls and e-mails about this closing

All this to say...good for them for doing something. Starbucks wouldn't be in this position had they not screwed with their business model so much. I'm glad to see my old peeps taking a stand. ;)

I really hope the community takes the energy they're spending on the protest and invests it in opening up an independent coffee shop once the corporate office pulls the plug.
